Aerial photography can help with many road and traffic issues. The elevated view can show the layout of a road better than any ground view or plan drawing. When an area is known as an accident blackspot aerial photographs can show the scene better from above than from the drivers view point. Accident insurance claims are dealt with easier if there is an aerial photo at hand showing the whole scene. Also, an aerial photo of a particular area that has high congestion can be used to help with planning issues.
